We recently hosted a work event at the Topeka Zoo and the Kay McFarland Garden venue. The event was handled great by the zoo staff and was so well supported and organized. The zoo staff was available and willing to help in anyway possible to ensure that our event was a success. I would definitely recommend the Kay McFarland Garden venue, or the Topeka Zoo, for your next work, or personal, event.

We had a wonderful experience providing DJ and Photo Booth entertainment at the Kay McFarland Japanese Garden and Venue in Topeka. This is one of the most unique and scenic event spaces in Kansas, offering a peaceful blend of Japanese-inspired landscaping, koi ponds, bridges, and beautifully maintained gardens that create an unforgettable setting for weddings and special celebrations. The outdoor ceremony spaces are absolutely stunning, especially with the water features and natural greenery providing a calm, romantic atmosphere. It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t need much decoration because the surroundings already feel so elegant and visually rich for guests and photography. From an entertainment standpoint, the indoor event space and covered pavilion areas are very functional and well organized. There is plenty of room for DJ setups, lighting, and Photo Booth placement, and the flow of the venue makes it easy for guests to transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception without confusion. The Kay McFarland Japanese Garden and venue is one of the most beautiful event spaces in Topeka, KS. The event staff are helpful, polite and professional. They helped us from the setup and were there until we left. Jim is AMAZING! He answered every question and was always right there to help us if we needed anything. Morgan responded to calls and emails within 24 hours or less. I appreciate them accommodating our last minute requests. If you want to utilize this space, make sure you ask very detailed questions so that you won’t have to add last minute fees that you didn’t account for in your budget.

Absolutely beautiful garden! Amazing location within the zoo. We’ll maintained area. It was cold out but nice to look around and take pictures can’t imagine how gorgeous the scenery is in the warmer seasons.

I was so surprised that Topeka has amazing garden like this! It is amazingly beautiful everywhere in this garden. The bamboo fences and koi pond were reminds me Japan. Every details were so beautiful and amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend the garden. They are great areas that people want take great photos.
